Q. Do I have to go to the body shop my insurance company tells me to go too?
NO. Insurance companies imply it is for your benefit that you should go to their approved body shop i.e. courtesy car, guaranteed work etc but it mainly benefits them as they have a contract with the body shop which limits their costs. The truth is you can go to a body shop of your choice and at Summerhouse Garage all our work is guaranteed, courtesy cars are available (subject to status) and you have the knowledge that we have been established in these premises for over 30 years.

Q. Do I need to get two estimates for my insurance company?
NO. There is no need to get two estimates for your insurance company, just elect Summerhouse Garage as your preferred car body repairer, when in for an estimate bring your claim number along and we will do the rest.
Q. Someone has run in to me, do I have to go through my own insurance?
NO. If you where involve in a accident and it wasn't your fault come down to Summerhouse Garage and a member of staff will talk you through claiming direct off the at fault parties insurance. (See non-fault accidents page)
Q. Why don't I just go to a smart repair company?
At the end of the day as said above "it's your car, it's your decision" so you can take it any where you wish. Although it may seem more cost effective to go to a smart repair company the fact is that repairing and spraying car without the correct equipment produces a sub standard non durable finish.
Summerhouse Garage use the latest colour matching/paint mixing scheme along with the correct equipment (i.e. spray booth and dust extraction) to produce a long lasting high shine finish to match the existing manufacturers paint work.
